2 cups uncooked macaroni

3 tbsp butter

three tbsp all-purpose flour

2 ½ cups milk (complete milk encouraged)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp garlic powder (non-obligatory)

¼ tsp paprika (for topping)

½ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for crunchy topping)

Instructions

1. Cook the macaroni:

Cook macaroni until simply al dente, about 1-2 mins less than the package recommends. Drain and set aside.

2. Make the cheese sauce:

In a medium saucepan, soften butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a easy roux and prepare dinner for 1-2 minutes till gently golden. Slowly whisk in milk and cream, stirring continuously to save you lumps. Continue cooking till the sauce thickens, about 5 mins. Add cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, stirring till absolutely melted.

3. Combine pasta and sauce:

Mix the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce, ensuring every piece is lined frivolously.

4. Prepare for baking:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (a hundred ninety°C). Grease a baking dish and pour in the macaroni-cheese aggregate. For a crunchy pinnacle, sprinkle breadcrumbs, a little extra cheese, and paprika frivolously over the surface.
