Crispy Smoked Tofu
& Coleslaw Wraps
These wraps are a super aggregate of crunchy, smoky tofu and
fresh, tangy coleslaw. They’re quick, healthful, and full of flavor—wonderful
for lunch, dinner, or a picnic.
For the tofu:
200g smoked tofu, reduce into strips
1–2 tbsp cornstarch or undeniable flour
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
For the coleslaw:
1 cup shredded cabbage (blend crimson and inexperienced for
colour)
½ cup shredded carrot
2–three spring onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp vegan mayo or Greek yogurt
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper, to flavor
For the wraps:
2–3 huge tortillas or flatbreads
Optional extras: avocado slices, clean herbs (cilantro or
parsley), pickled onions, or a drizzle of warm sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the tofu
Pat the smoked tofu dry with a paper towel to remove extra
moisture. This enables it crisp up higher. Slice into strips approximately 1 cm
thick. Toss the strips in soy sauce, then coat gently in cornstarch. Shake off
any excess to avoid a gummy coating.
2. Cook the tofu
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high warmness. Add
the tofu strips and fry for three–four minutes consistent with side, till
golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan, or the tofu will steam
rather than crisp. Once cooked, dispose of the tofu and location on a plate
lined with paper towels to drain any extra oil.

coleslaw
Four. Assemble the
wraps
Warm the tortillas or flatbreads barely in a dry pan or
microwave to make them extra pliable. Lay each tortilla flat and spoon a
generous quantity of coleslaw inside the center. Place three–4 crispy tofu
strips on pinnacle. Add non-obligatory extras like avocado slices, fresh herbs,
or pickled onions for added taste and texture. Fold the perimeters of the
tortilla inwards, then roll tightly from the lowest up to form a neat wrap.
Five. Serve
Slice the wraps in half diagonally for clean managing and an
appealing presentation. Serve immediately even as the tofu remains crispy.
These wraps are great eaten fresh however may be saved inside the fridge for
some hours if needed. To maintain crispiness, store the tofu and coleslaw
separately and gather simply before consuming.
Tips and Variations
Extra crunch: Add roasted seeds including pumpkin or
sunflower seeds.
Spicy twist: Drizzle with sriracha, hot sauce, or smoked
paprika for a smoky kick.
Make it vegan: Use vegan mayo and tortillas with out dairy.
Add protein: Include cooked chickpeas or edamame for a
heartier wrap.
Meal prep: Keep tofu and coleslaw separate in bins for up to
two days for a fast clutch-and-move lunch.
