Casserole
A Parmesan Mushroom Casserole is a comforting, tacky, and
savory dish best as a side or maybe a main for a vegetarian meal. It combines
gentle mushrooms, creamy sauce, and golden parmesan for a rich, flavorful
enjoy. The dish is straightforward to prepare yet extraordinary, making it
perfect for circle of relatives dinners or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients:
500g clean mushrooms (button, cremini, or a mixture), sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
half of cup grated Parmesan cheese
half of teaspoon thyme (fresh or dried)
Salt and black pepper to flavor
half of cup breadcrumbs or panko (elective for topping)
2 tablespoons chopped clean parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms gently with a
damp cloth to eliminate dust. Slice them lightly so they cook uniformly.
2. Sauté the vegetables: In a large skillet, warmth olive
oil or butter over medium warmth. Add the chopped onions and cook dinner until
translucent, about three-four minutes. Stir in the garlic and prepare dinner
for every other minute till fragrant.
3. Cook the mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the
skillet. Cook for 6-eight minutes, stirring every so often, until they launch
moisture and begin to brown. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
4. Make the creamy sauce: Reduce warmth to low. Pour within
the cream and blend nicely, allowing it to coat the mushrooms. Add half of the
Parmesan cheese and stir till melted into the sauce. Taste and regulate
seasoning as wanted.
5. Assemble the casserole: Preheat the oven to one hundred
eighty°C (350°F). Transfer the mushroom aggregate right into a lightly greased
