Baked Italian Tilapia (Healthy &
Flavorful Recipe)
Baked Italian tilapia is an easy,
mild, and flavorful dish that combines gentle white fish with conventional
Italian herbs, garlic, and a hint of lemon. It’s quick to prepare, healthy, and
perfect for a circle of relatives' meal or a nutritious dinner.
Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
2–3 tilapia fillets Tilapia
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to flavor
1 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh)
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional but
endorsed)
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
(non-compulsory)
1 small tomato (sliced,
non-compulsory for topping)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the oven.
Preheat your oven to two hundred°C
(about four hundred°F). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or line it
with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
2. Season the fish.
Pat the tilapia fillets dry using a
paper towel. This helps them bake lightly and forestalls extra water. Place
them inside the baking dish in a single layer.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil,
minced garlic, oregano, basil, thyme, paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon juice,
and lemon zest. Stir nicely to shape a fragrant Italian-fashion marinade.
3. Coat the fillets.
Brush or spoon the seasoning mixture
calmly over the tilapia fillets. Make positive each facet is gently coated for
maximum taste. If you like, upload thin tomato slices on top for added
juiciness and coloration.
Four. Bake
Place the dish in the oven and bake
for 15–20 mins, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The fish is ready
when it becomes opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle
it on top over the past 5 minutes of baking so it barely melts and forms a mild
golden crust.
Five. Serve
Remove from the oven and let it rest
for 2–three minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a small squeeze
of lemon juice earlier than serving.
Serving Suggestions
Baked Italian tilapia pairs nicely
with the following:
Steamed greens (broccoli, carrots,
or inexperienced beans)
Garlic rice or herb rice
Mashed potatoes or roasted potatoes
Fresh lawn salad with olive oil
dressing.
Tips for Best Flavor
Always use sparkling lemon juice for
a brighter taste.
Do not overbake now; tilapia cooks
quickly and can dry out.
For greater flavor, marinate the
fish for 15–half an hour before baking.
Add chili flakes if you choose a
barely highly spiced kick.
