Chicken with Cheesy Broccoli Soup


 

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked hen, shredded or diced

3 cups broccoli florets

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups fowl broth

1 cup milk (or half of-and-1/2 for creamier texture)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Salt and pepper to flavor

Optional: pinch of nutmeg for warmth

Instructions:

1. Prepare the broccoli:

Steam or boil the broccoli florets for five–7 minutes till tender. Set aside.

2. Sauté the aromatics:
