Loaves
Mini Barbecue Meat Loaves are person-sized, juicy meatloaf
portions coated in a candy and smoky barbeque glaze. They cook dinner faster
than a conventional loaf, stay greater moist, and are best for family dinners,
meal prep, or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
For the meat loaves:
500 g ground pork (or mix beef and fowl if favored)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 egg
½ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup milk
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
For the barbecue
glaze:
½ cup barbecue sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tsp mustard (non-obligatory, for tang)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Set your oven to a hundred ninety°C (375°F). Lightly grease
a baking tray or line it with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the
aggregate
In a massive bowl, combine floor meat, chopped onion,
garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, and milk. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt,
pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix lightly along with your fingers or a spoon
until just mixed. Avoid overmixing, as it is able to make the beef loaves
dense.
3. Shape the mini
loaves
Divide the mixture into 6–eight identical portions. Shape
each component right into a small oval or loaf form and location them
frivolously on the baking tray, leaving space between each piece for even
cooking.
4. Make the barbecue
glaze
In a small bowl, blend barbecue sauce, ketchup, honey (or
brown sugar), and mustard. Stir till smooth.
5. First bake
Place the mini meat loaves within the oven and bake for
15–18 mins. This facilitates them firm up earlier than glazing.
6. Glaze and finish
baking
Remove the tray from the oven and generously brush every
mini loaf with the barbecue sauce mixture. Return to the oven and bake for some
other 10–15 minutes, or till the inner temperature reaches seventy one°C (160°F
for beef) and the tops are sticky and caramelized.
7. Optional extra
glaze
For extra flavor, brush another skinny layer of fish fry
sauce proper after baking.
