Ingredients

For the Gyros:

500g pork (flank or sirloin), thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to flavor

4–6 pita breads or flatbreads

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1–2 tomatoes, sliced

Lettuce leaves, shredded

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

1 cup Greek yogurt

½ cucumber, grated and drained

1–2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp clean dill, chopped (or ½ tsp dried dill)

Salt and pepper, to flavor

Instructions

1. Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce

 Start with the tzatziki sauce, because it advantages from resting. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out any extra water using a clean kitchen towel or paper towel. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and dill. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix properly until smooth.
