Cabbage Wrap Brats

Cabbage Wrap Brats are a lighter, low-carb tackle classic bratwurst, wherein sausages are wrapped in tender cabbage leaves instead of buns. This dish is flavorful, hearty, and perfect for a fast weeknight meal or a casual weekend lunch. You can use traditional beef brats, bird bratwurst, or even vegetarian options.

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

4 bratwursts (pork, chook, or veggie)

6–8 huge cabbage leaves (green or savoy)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (elective)

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt & pepper, to taste

Mustard, sauerkraut, or your favorite dipping sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cabbage Leaves

Bring a massive pot of water to a boil.

Blanch cabbage leaves for 1–2 mins till barely softened but nevertheless strong.

2. Cook the Brats

Add bratwursts and cook 10–12 minutes, turning every so often, till browned and completely cooked.

3. Sauté the Veggies
