Spring Pea & Feta
Dip
A brilliant, creamy, and clean dip that’s best for spring
gatherings, snack time, or as a variety on bread. The sweetness of peas pairs
fantastically with the tangy saltiness of feta, and a touch of mint offers it a
clean lift.
Ingredients (Serves
four–6)
2 cups clean or frozen green peas
one hundred g feta cheese, crumbled
2 tablespoons olive oil, plus greater for drizzling
1–2 tablespoons clean lemon juice (to taste)
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons clean mint or parsley, chopped
Optional: 2–3 tablespoons Greek yogurt for additonal
creaminess
Optional garnish: extra crumbled feta, clean mint leaves, or
toasted nuts
Instructions
1. Cook the peas
If using clean peas, carry a pot of water to a boil and
blanch them for two–3 mins until gentle however still shiny green. Drain and
immediately rinse beneath bloodless water to prevent the cooking manner and
preserve the colourful colour.
If the use of frozen peas, cook in line with package deal
commands—usually 3–4 mins boiling or steaming—then drain.
2. Prepare the dip
In a meals processor or blender, combine the cooked peas,
crumbled feta, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and fresh mint. Blend until
easy. For a creamier texture, upload Greek yogurt a spoonful at a time and
blend again till properly mixed.
Three. Season
Taste the dip and season with salt and black pepper.
Remember that feta is obviously salty, so add salt sparingly. If you want a
sharper citrus word, upload a bit greater lemon juice.
4. Serve
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil
and sprinkle with extra feta, chopped mint, or some toasted nuts for crunch.
Serve straight away with pita bread, crackers, or clean greens like cucumber,
carrots, and bell peppers.
Tips & Variations
Nutty Texture: Add a handful of toasted pine nuts, almonds,
or walnuts for additonal crunch.
Roasted Garlic: Roast a garlic clove until smooth and candy,
then combo in for a milder, richer garlic flavor.
Make Ahead: Prepare the dip some hours in advance and
refrigerate. Bring to room temperature before serving for the fine taste.
This dip is clearly vegetarian, colorful, and filled with
protein and nutrients. It’s perfect as an appetizer, snack, or part of a mezze
platter. Its fresh spring flavors make it particularly appropriate for
brunches, lawn events, or mild lunches.
