Ingredients

Dry base:

1 cup cornmeal (medium or excellent)

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 celery stalks, finely chopped

2–3 cloves garlic, minced

three/four cup dried cranberries (or fresh cranberries, chopped)

1 small apple, finely diced (optional but endorsed for sweetness)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optionally available for crunch)

Liquid aggregate:

2 cups vegetable broth (or hen broth if not vegetarian)

2 eggs (for binding; non-compulsory for vegan model use a flax egg)

1/4 cup melted butter or olive oil

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (non-obligatory, for mild sweetness)

Herbs:

1 tsp dried sage (or 1 tbsp fresh chopped)

1 tsp thyme

half a tsp. rosemary (non-compulsory)

Instructions

1. Prepare the bottom

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a medium baking dish gently with oil or butter.

In a huge bowl, blend cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Set apart.

2. Cook the greens.

In a pan, warm a bit of butter or oil over medium heat. Add onion, celery, and garlic. Sauté for 5–7 mins till soft and fragrant. Remove from heat.

3. Combine components

Add the sautéed greens to the dry combination. Stir in cranberries, apples (if used), nuts, and herbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together broth, eggs, melted butter, and honey/maple syrup.

Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry substances. Stir until the entirety is flippantly mixed. The mixture ought to be thick but wet.
