Teriyaki Beef with Veggies

 

Servings: 2–three Prep time: 15 mins Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

300g red meat (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced

1 crimson bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 medium carrot, julienned

1 small broccoli crown, reduce into florets

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp ginger, minced

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

1 tbsp sesame seeds (non-obligatory)

For Teriyaki Sauce:

three tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp mirin or rice wine

1 tbsp honey or brown sugar

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp cornstarch combined with 1 tbsp water

Instructions:

1. Prepare the sauce:

In a small bowl, blend soy sauce, mirin, honey, and sesame oil. Stir well. Add the cornstarch slurry and set aside. This will thicken the sauce in the course of cooking.

2. Cook the pork:

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a big pan or wok over medium-excessive heat. Add the beef slices and stir-fry for two–3 minutes till browned however no longer absolutely cooked. Remove beef from the pan and set apart.
