Meatballs & Sausage Dinner

This dish combines juicy meatballs, flavorful sausages, and a wealthy tomato-based sauce baked collectively with greens. It’s filling, savory, and best for dinner served with rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.

Ingredients

For the meatballs:

500g minced red meat or fowl

1 small onion (finely chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 egg

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika or chili powder

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optionally available)

For the sausages:

4–6 sausages (hen, red meat, or red meat), cut into chunks

For the sauce:

2 tbsp oil

1 huge onion (sliced)

3 cloves garlic (chopped)

1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes or four clean tomatoes combined

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp sugar (optionally available, to balance acidity)

1 tsp salt (modify to flavor)

half tsp black pepper

1 tsp dried oregano or mixed herbs

1/2 cup water or stock

Vegetables (elective but recommended):

1 bell pepper (sliced)

1 carrot (sliced)

1 potato (cubed)

half cup inexperienced peas

Instructions

1. Prepare the meatballs.

In a bowl, mix minced meat, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley. Combine lightly—don’t overmix, or the meatballs may additionally grow to be hard.

Shape into small balls, approximately the scale of a walnut. Set aside.

2. Brown the meatballs and sausages.

Heat a touch of oil in a pan over medium warmth. Lightly fry the meatballs until browned on all sides (they don’t want to be fully cooked inside yet). Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, fast brown the sausage portions for additonal flavor. Set aside.

Three. Make the sauce.

In a large pot or deep pan, warm oil. Add onions and sauté until tender and golden. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Stir in tomato paste and prepare dinner for 1–2 minutes to get rid of uncooked flavor. Add beaten tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar, herbs, and water or stock. Mix nicely and simmer for 10 mins.

Four. Add vegetables.

Add carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, and peas (if using). Let them prepare dinner in the sauce for approximately 10–15 mins until barely tender.

Five. Combine everything.

Add the browned meatballs and sausage portions into the sauce. Stir gently in order that they don’t wreck.

Cover and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes, or switch the whole thing into a baking dish and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes for a deeper roasted taste.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with:

Steamed rice

Mashed potatoes

Spaghetti or penne pasta

Fresh bread or dinner rolls

Sprinkle fresh parsley or grated cheese on top for added taste.

Tips

For juicier meatballs, avoid overmixing the beef.

You can upload chili flakes for a spicy version.

Swap vegetables based on season (zucchini, mushrooms, or spinach paintings, properly).

Leftovers flavor even better the next day as flavors deepen.
