Here’s a detailed tackle Pear & Turkey Sausage
Rigatoni—a super balance of savory, candy, and creamy flavors. I can offer each
a recipe and a step-by way of-step cooking guide.
Ingredients (Serves
four)
12 oz. (340 g) rigatoni pasta
1 lb (450 g) turkey sausage (moderate or highly spiced,
casing removed)
2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced thinly
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
half of tsp beaten pink pepper flakes (non-compulsory, for
warmth)
1/2 cup dry white wine (or fowl broth)
1/2 cup heavy cream or half of-and-1/2
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper to flavor
Fresh thyme or sage for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook Pasta
Cook rigatoni according to package deal commands until al
dente. Drain, reserving half of cup of pasta water, and set apart.
2. Cook Sausage
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium warmness.
Cook until browned and absolutely cooked (~five–7 minutes).
Remove sausage from the skillet and set apart.
3. Sauté Aromatics
& Pears
In the same skillet, upload onion and cook until tender
(~three mins).
Add garlic and crimson pepper flakes, cooking for 30
seconds.
Add pear slices and cook dinner until slightly softened
(~2–three mins).
Pour in white wine (or bird broth) to deglaze the pan,
scraping up any browned bits. Let it reduce slightly (~2 mins).
Stir in cream and Parmesan, and prepare dinner till sauce
thickens slightly (~three–4 mins).
Season with salt and pepper.
5. Combine &
Serve
Add the cooked sausage again to the skillet.
Toss in rigatoni, including a splash of reserved pasta water
if had to loosen the sauce.
Garnish with fresh thyme or sage and additional Parmesan.
Tips
Pears need to be barely company to keep away from turning
smooth within the sauce.
For added texture, sprinkle toasted walnuts or pecans on
top.
If you want a lighter version, use half of-and-half in place
of heavy cream.
If you need, I can also create a model with a slightly
caramelized pear & sage brown butter sauce that’s even extra gourmet—ideal
for a comfy dinner.
Do you need me to do this.
