Baked Mushroom Chicken

🍄 Baked Mushroom Chicken

Baked Mushroom Chicken is a simple, comforting, and flavorful dish made with tender chicken breasts, earthy mushrooms, a creamy sauce, and melted cheese. It is baked inside the oven until juicy and golden, making it ideal for lunch or dinner. It goes nicely with rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, or even easy steamed vegetables.

🧂 Ingredients

4 fowl breasts (boneless and skinless)

2 cups mushrooms (sliced, button or any type you want)

1 medium onion (finely chopped)

3–4 cloves of garlic (minced)

1 cup heavy cream or cooking cream

½ cup milk (non-obligatory, for lighter sauce)

1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt (modify to taste)

1 teaspoon paprika (non-obligatory for flavor)

1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon soy sauce (non-obligatory, for extra intensity)

🔪 Preparation Steps

1. Prepare the bird.

First, smooth the chicken breasts and pat them dry. Season both aspects with salt, black pepper, and paprika. This facilitates the chicken getting flavorful from the interior.

2. Sear the hen

Heat olive oil or butter in a pan over medium heat. Lightly sear the hen for 2–3 mins on each aspect till barely golden. You don’t want to cook dinner fully; simply provide it a nice coloration. Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the mushrooms.

In the same pan, add a bit extra butter or oil if needed. Add chopped onions and garlic and sauté till smooth and fragrant. Then upload sliced mushrooms and prepare dinner until they release water and grow to be golden brown. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, and oregano. Stir properly.

Four. Make the creamy sauce.

Pour in the cream and milk. Mix well and permit it to simmer for two–3 minutes. If you want a more potent taste, add a little soy sauce. The sauce must emerge as slightly thick and creamy.

🍽️ Assembling the dish

Take a baking dish and arrange the seared chook breasts in it. Pour the mushroom cream sauce over the fowl lightly. Make certain each piece is well included. Then sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

🔥 Baking

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the dish for 25–30 minutes till the hen is fully cooked and the cheese on top is melted and golden. If you need a slightly crispy top, you may broil it for the last 2–three minutes.

🥗 Serving

Let the dish relax for a few minutes after baking. Serve hot with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, or even a clean salad. The creamy mushroom sauce pairs properly with nearly anything.

🌟 Tips

You can add spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.

For a more healthy model, use low-fat cream or yogurt.

If you like highly spiced meals, upload chili flakes or green chilies.

Chicken thighs also can be used for a juicier texture.
