Pineapple Chicken

Pineapple Chicken Recipe (Sweet, Tangy & Savory)

Pineapple Chicken is a delicious sweet-and-bitter fashioned dish made with juicy bird pieces, pineapple chunks, and a flavorful sauce. It is famous in many Asian-inspired kitchens because it balances sweetness, tanginess, and savory taste in one dish. It is going nicely with steamed rice or fried rice.

🛒 Ingredients

For the hen:

500g boneless bird (reduce into chunk-sized portions).

1/2 teaspoon salt

half a teaspoon of black pepper

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons corn flour (cornstarch)

1 egg (optional, for coating)

Oil for frying

For the sauce:

1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)

1/2 cup pineapple juice (from the can or fresh mixed pineapple)

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon vinegar (white or apple cider)

2 tablespoons sugar (modify to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic (minced)

1 teaspoon ginger (minced)

1 tablespoon cornflour blended with 3 tablespoons water (slurry for thickening)

Vegetables (optionally available, however recommended):

1 small onion (sliced)

1 bell pepper (cut into chunks, any color)

👨🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken

Start by means of washing and cutting the fowl into small bite-sized portions. In a bowl, mix chicken with salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and (non-compulsory) egg. Add corn flour and blend until the chicken is gently coated. This coating will help make the bird crispy while fried.

2. Fry the chicken.

Heat oil in a pan or wok. Once warm, fry the fowl portions in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove and arrange them on a paper towel to take away extra oil. Set apart.

3. Make the sauce.

In every other pan, add a little oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Then upload onions and bell peppers if you are using them. Stir-fry for 1–2 mins so that they remain slightly crunchy.

Now add pineapple chunks and stir well.

4. Add drinks and seasoning.

Pour in pineapple juice, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar. Mix the entirety properly and let it simmer for two to three minutes so the flavors combine together.

Five. Thicken the sauce.

Slowly add the cornflour slurry while stirring constantly. The sauce will begin to thicken and turn out to be sleek. Adjust sweetness or sourness by using taste and adding greater sugar or vinegar if needed.

6. Combine chook and sauce.

Add the fried chicken portions into the sauce. Stir properly so each piece is lined evenly. Let it cook for any other 2–3 mins on low heat so the chicken absorbs the flavor.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions

Serve pineapple chicken warm with:

Steamed white rice

Egg fried rice

Noodles

You can garnish with chopped spring onions or sesame seeds for added taste and presentation.

🌟 Tips for Best Taste

Use fresh pineapple if viable for stronger natural flavor.

Don’t overcook bell peppers—they have to be barely crunchy.

If you like it spicier, upload a little chili sauce or pink chili flakes.

For a healthier version, you may air-fry or bake the chook instead of deep-frying.

🍍 Final Note

Pineapple Chicken is an excellent mix of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors that makes it exciting for both youngsters and adults. It’s smooth to prepare at home and tastes like restaurant-fashion meals when performed properly.
